Not much of what "I" have been doing.

Actually, I've done quite a bit.

Improved on my cooking/baking skills, enjoying every single family moment.

Everyday, I learnt more about myself, more than I ever had when I was busy with other commitments.

I love going out on my own, just being my own company. I never like small talk. It seems too much of a pretense but we all know that this world is full of pretentious people. And, we are all judgemental creatures, no matter how you deny it. All this, you can't blame anyone for it.

But, never become the person others see you as.

When I was bored, I wished I had tons of things to do/work on.

Now that I'm so busy and hardly have time for the family or myself, I'm actually really grateful.

I'm not complaining because I'm finally able to fall asleep instantly since I get so drained every single day.

At least I'm sane again. (you can call it insane instead)

I think I'll conclude that I'm just a workaholic.

I feel so out of touch with fashion lately. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like everything is so excessive..like the shopping mall. Right from the start, I’ve never like to go with the flow. (Even if what I have seems ‘now’, I tend to wear them in my weird way. That I admit.) It’s kinda scary with everyone wearing similar things. I hate bumping into people wearing something similar. It’s not about a comparison of the better wearer, but it’s just sad because it seems like you are everyone else who is trying to be someone else. You get me? Maybe you don’t.

I’d really like to get back to the basics of dressing and what attracted me to personal style and fashion in the first place. It doesn’t have to be minimal. But the idea that you aren’t trying to be anybody else except yourself. Don’t be afraid of stares and the opinions of others. After all, it’s about telling a story.

That, I constantly remind myself.

I've had too many nightmares lately.

Went prom dress-shopping with the lil cousin today.

bore to death by the choices they have in most of the stores. Either too dressy/girly(not to my liking), or they look like Getai (Live stage performance held during chinese ghost festival) costumes.

K and I, we have totally different styles. For me, I'll definitely go for a simple drapery black mesh dress, with tons of jewelry. Ok thats what I can think of for now, and it reminds me of a new design coming up on T///. heh heh.

So..many are talking about the Lanvin for H&M. But I'm not really feeling it(Women's). But the red neckpiece+shades will do for me! I like the model's hair. That's about it.

i have stories for all our T///. wouldnt go into details here but you can always ask me if you are curious. I'm no fashion student. But I know what I want and I like to mix and match different extremes together, according to what makes me hahapy.

I swear the 'clouds' were tough to tackle, and yes, we do play a big part in the sewing process.

Major thanks to Jo from Nushoes for the wedges. They measure 4" in height but you can literally ran in them!

I dont like joining sprees because

(1) I am insecure. Insecure about the reliability of the owners and the sizing. Never once did i get the sizing right for 2 sprees i joined last year. It's just..Me.

(2) I find messy spree sites distasteful; shopping's supposed to be a hahapy experience and not one where you cant find the contact email/sizing chart/deadline of spree or all you see is a Long list of blacklistees. - I judge the owners by the appearance of the sites.

Nushoes= Neat site+Helpful owner+ Endless edgy styles(not those chapalang ones)

With a shopping site like this, the only bad thing that can happen is an empty pocket with a few burn holes.

Let's just say we are contributing to the economy. Ahem.

Not for the prince charming(it's not always about boysss), but rather for your hahapiness and style of your own. Sometimes i really respect those people who upload images of the day's shots on their site/fb as soon as they get home. For myself, all my friends know I'll take years to do so. 2 reasons. L for Lazy. Secondly, I somehow cant bare to Bare the pictures to everyone. It's like letting out your secrets to the whole wide world also know as world wide web.):

I like my privacy so by 'modelling'(hate the word to be used on myself) Trooops's, and getting noticed by random strangers on the streets freaks me out. Kinda missed those days when I can just walk on the streets without people throwing weird glances at me. But I guess I've gotten used to this and now when people throw weird looks at me, I'll just take it that they just Dont understand my style. Hahahah.

Oh, anyone interested to model for Trooops (when I grow old and crumply-that wont take very long)?

And of course, we do have our criteria.

(1) You got to have flexible bones unlike me so you can weave all sort of truly Trooops poses.

(2) You have to be above 1.6m and hopefully a Uk6/8.

(3) You DONT have to be pretty or hot. you have to be beautiful+raw in J/G's eyes. (Pretty doesn't always win. A strong face will.)

(4) Killer frown/ pout/straight-face. Please don't smile, thank you.

of course, words will never be able to describe what we want our Trooops face to be like. Ours is the fingers-*snap -*snap effect.(similar to the sound when J shits lightbulbs..)

So the other day Muff, my extreme hairstylist/Tjf did a tiny hair tattoo for me.

I don't trust most hairdressers 'cause of an extremely bad experience when i was 14.

Cutting my hair short is one thing, doing a hair tattoo is almost impossible..until Muff showed me from his cuts that hair tattoos are not just a gangsterrr thangg.

Muff is a self-taught Mohawk-ist who decided to do his own hair after it was screwed up by a certain barber. (seems like many of us have got bad hair experiences!) You can check him out at Mmohawk.

Muff gave me this very good opportunity to share a heartfelt thought.

One thing I hate about singaporeans is that we don't support our local talents enough. I mean, don't be a hypocrite and start supporting them only after they gain recognition overseas.

I know most of us will say "oh sg labels are always inspired by overseas brands etc etc." But have you ever thought that overseas brands may be 'copying' us as well? Ultimately, no one is original. We are developed from inspirations around us.

So why did I allow Muff to do a hair tattoo for me? There are 2 main reasons. Firstly, I've seen his other cuts, including a simple hair cut for my mom,his parents and J. I can see his passion in his cuts. He don't do them half-heartedly. You can see a 'realness' in them. Secondly, some of you may know, he is J's partner and I respect him as a close kin. Many people cut/style hair for the money. But Muff, he remains humble regardless of the compliments he receive. I can see his passion burning for a long time. (:

Even though Muff specialises in Mohawks, you can still refer to him for most haircuts.

Feeling a lil down lately. popped by J's blog and realised she is not feeling as good either.

I had a couple of :D [not just (: ] days last week but lil things tend to accumulate and blow things up.

I always mark my days on the calender with (: or ): but stupid technology is killing all the Hard copy versions of calenders. I dislike the stupid calender on my iph. I can't scribble on it and it always have a "starts" and "end" timings.who in the world knows when things might start or end. sigh.

ok if you realise, this is just a ranting entry. I dislike days when my heart races for the wrong reasons. J knows. M knows. G(not me) knows.

Spotted a couple of awesome shoes.(In my opinion)

Would love this pair of JC Glen.. How awesome is the shade? And it look every bit comfy!

Carin Wester shoes. I like the #2 pair. I guess Im just obsessed with all these grey now. heh.

Pretty soles from Minimarket. I hope the wood doesnt weigh a tonne though! The big leather straps caught my attention. I like that they dont look girly in a way; girly stuff puts me off.

I would prefer the #2 pair with a chunkier heel/just put it in a wedge!

That said, most of my footwear are flats/ wedges. I can never wear heels, and I don't know how to find pleasure in wearing shoes that aches me.

I am pretty much a black/grey/white/blue person, a better word would be Monochrome but that word makes me cringe. Many words make me cringe.

That aside, I do own prints every now and then but they tend to appear in smaller surface areas of my belongings/ they are just hidden away from everyone else(think Undies.HAH HAH)

But of course if you see me in Big prints, i must have forgotten my medication that day. (:

I was worried (very insecure person here) the process will hurt/sting/blind me.

Instead, I was having fun talking to my 'stylist' Rach about our lives. Their name-tags are really cute! Do find Rach if you drop by. (All of them are equally good. Just that I had her when i was there)

(1)Customization.

You always have customizations for jewellery, cars etc. Now, we have customizations for lashes!

Look at those common beauty shops around, you pick what you want from photos of a model or you simply tell the lady if you want a 'Natural' or 'Dramatic' eye, they then proceed to work.

But at Browhaus, you can choose what you have in mind and customize your 'dream' lashes according to their Small,Medium and Long lashes length. I wanted mine to have a longer tip that curls up because yours truly has got very fugly droopy eyes. The longer end will disguise that and make me look more awake. I do not like something too dramatic as well, so Rach chose a combination of small+medium lashes with 2-3 strands of long ones.

If you are still in doubt, ALWAYS ask the professionals. Do not be shy cause you will not benefit from that.

(2) Glue dont stink/sting.

Im sure some of you who did lash extensions felt uncomfortable during the process because the glue had a pungent smell+some glue seep into your eyes and it hurted A HELL LOT. For this, i only felt some itch on my lids but that is bearable as compared to any pungent smell(Ive got a sensitive nose) or pain.

(3) Glue is fast-drying. I was able to open my eyes immediately after the process, was SO excited to look at Rach's masterpiece!

(4) Lashes are light-weight and comfortable.- I've had the lashes for 2 weeks now and I'm enjoying the comfort of not putting on any makeup at all. All of us know how destructive(HAHAHAAH)cosmetics are! I can wash my face as per normal, just have to remind myself not to rub those eyes.

Some answers for questions you guys might have:

(1) Can i apply my eye makeup as per normal?

- yes you can, just remember to not use an oil-based makeup remover as oil-based removers are likely to weaken the bonds of the extensions. Water-based makeup/ wipes are recommended.

(2) With proper care, how long can the lashes last?

3-4weeks but It varies according to individual. (Im very determined to make mine last at least 5weeks!)

(3)Will all my real lashes fall off when i remove the extensions?
It will if you do it yourself and you will faint from seeing your bare lids,that i assure you.Go back to the salon and have it professionally removed. I cant guarantee that everyone's real lashes will be intact at the end of the removal session,but i didnt lose a single strand of eyelash! I was pretty surprised cause i had been warn about bare lids. My eyelashes are pretty strong,aint they? ((:

New assignment this week: Feature writing.
It got me ackcited for a while,cause the prof wanted everyone to bring our fav mag/newspaper article to class.
ok yes,(on a random note) talking about class,i should go around and socialise.It'll do me good in the next sem. (Prof highly recommended us to start this ritual,but i think he is starting to regret for the noise level in class is getting a teeeny bit(actually alot) higher than 1st lesson.hehe.) Next year i will have more than 1xx(?) classmates.But.nvm.

I am starting to wonder if i am the only one in class who dreams+worries about assignments.heh.
